Cosplay-specific sizing tips
Always size up 1 from your costume size. Cosplay vendors (especially overseas) cut for slim Asian sizing. Check inseam + arm length carefully — costumes for tall cosplayers may need a "Tall" variant or custom commission.
Check the bust measurement separately. Many female cosplay costumes have bust restrictions — corsets, sailor scout uniforms, etc. don't accommodate full-bust figures without custom alteration.
Read reviews for inseam — they often differ from store stated. Inseam is the #1 cause of returns.
Allow 4–8 weeks lead time for international cosplay vendors. They'll often ship from China — Halloween costumes ordered Oct 1 may arrive after Halloween.
Mascot costume sizing
Mascot costumes (full body, large head) typically come in only 2–3 sizes: Petite/Small (height 5'0"–5'6"), Medium (5'6"–6'0"), Large (6'0"+).
The "size" refers more to height than body width — most mascot suits are oversized by design and have adjustable internal straps.
