FAQ
What's "Italian fit" in cycling?
Italian-fit brands cut their kit closer to the body for aerodynamics โ fabric stretches but feels noticeably tighter than standard apparel. Size up 1โ2 from your usual.
Bib shorts vs regular cycling shorts?
Bibs have shoulder straps instead of a waistband. Far more comfortable on long rides (no waistband digging in). Universally preferred for rides over 1 hour. Yes you have to take the whole kit off for bathroom breaks โ worth it.
Should I size down for race kit?
No. Race kit is ALREADY cut tight. Sizing down causes restriction in pedaling motion + circulation issues. Buy your actual size.
Why are some jerseys way more expensive?
Top-tier kit uses high-stretch Lycra, laser-cut hems, and engineered moisture-wicking panels. Worth it if you ride 3+ times/week. For casual riders, mid-tier (Pearl Izumi, Castelli Endurance) is plenty.
